Job Title: Interior Designer Experience: 2+ Years... Responsibilities: • Responsible for the conception, design, and execution of projects in all phases of the interior design process (proposal, bidding, contract, production, and completion) • Generate concept design, schematic design, design development packages, scope of work, and construction documents, while being mindful of accurate drawing packages, design integrity, and code compliance • Provide innovative and functional design solutions • Sales: cultivate, connect with, and close clients to a design development contract • Log sales, design, and general hours to Buildertrend daily and communicate updates to design clients • Ensure projects are on track to meet project requirements, deadlines and budgets, and participate in post-production quality reviews • Always be mindful of the company’s financial well-being with product and vendor orders, time management, and company resources. • Aim to align a client’s budget with the scope of work, the design, and selections. Requirements: • A concise understanding and mindfulness of core design philosophies throughout all project phases • Be self motivated and able to work with minimal supervision • Attend weekly one on one meeting with direct supervisor abd weekly company meetings • Have the ability to interpret industry codes and standards, and ensures design and drawing compliance • Ability to execute schematic design, design development, construction drawings and specifications with a high level of detail • Intermediate knowledge of Chief Architect and Buildertrend programs, and the ability to learn and understand the firm’s most current software programs • Familiarity with local codes, permits, and software applications related to the discipline • Ability to learn and understand the company Roadmap document as it relates to your job description and the effect your role has on the overall design build process • Ability to work collaboratively with vendors, contractors, and other related professionals, including colleagues • Ability to pivot, problem solve, remain poised, and manage client expectations • Flexibility, professionalism, humility, and a sense of humor • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Place, track, and manage project orders • Ability to visit job sites as necessary and support Production during the Project Construction phase • Communicate with client, vendors, trades and sub/trades • Knowledge of showrooms, vendors, and design trade process
