Intermediate Interior Designer

Founded at the intersection of art, design, and experience, Eileen Tognini Design creates and curates bespoke spaces for both commercial and hospitality clients. ETD is looking for a Intermediate Interior Designer to join our small but mighty design studio in Philadelphia, PA. Applicants should be very familiar with the interior design process, from programming to installation, possess strong communication skills, and have proficiency in the requirements/responsibilities outlined below - • Creation of design presentations, concepts, construction documentation, and construction administration documents and records for all phases of a project from Programming & Schematic Design through project installation, punchlist, and photography • Work closely with the Founder/Design Director and FF&E Procurement Lead to ensure that all phases of the project are in lock step with the construction schedule • Specifying and sourcing materials, decorative lighting, fixtures & appliances, and custom millwork elements • Creating visual presentations and 3D perspectives for client review/approval that align with each project’s specific branding and concept • Creation of project documentation, inclusive of finish plans, interior elevations, finish/fixture/appliance schedules, custom millwork and steelwork concepts for further development by fabricators/collaborators, meticulous documentation of all submittals and RFIs during the construction administration phase • Work closely with general contractors, client, architect, and other subcontractors to ensure project is delivered on time and as promised • Attend regular site visits, interface with contractors and document site conditions accordingly • Proactive approach to stay at least one step ahead, and the ability to adapt to meet timelines and client expectations • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from a CIDA-accredited institution • 4+ years professional experience in interior design; multi-family, new construction, and adaptive reuse experience preferred • Basic knowledge of building codes and ADA requirements • Excellent presentation skills, including generation of presentations and articulating design information to clients via both verbal and written forms of communication • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to self-direct and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced and creative environment • Proficiency in documenting FF&E specifications, reviewing documentation, shop drawings for custom fabrication, and processing submittals during the Construction Administration phase • A honed ability to adapt and come up with creative solutions
