Under the design direction of Studio 397 leadership, the intermediate shall work on the production of concept design, schematic design, and design development deliverables. Works independently to evaluate, select, compile data, and apply standard design techniques, procedures, and criteria. Receives instructions on specific assignment objectives, complex features, and possible solutions from the lead designer. For professional developmental purposes, assignments may include some work that is typical of a higher level. Requirements • Strong design sensitivity • Strong design and graphics skills • Ability to think creatively and strategically • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Knowledge of space programming, contract documents (including detailing, specifications, production management, design production), and contract administration • Ability to juggle multiple tasks, collaborate on large teams, and work well under deadlines • Ability to present design ideas and concepts to clients • Proactively maintain and prioritize deadlines
