Junior Architect / Interior Design Position

This position works closely with other in-house design disciplines, construction, and maintenance personnel within the Division of Engineering, Construction, and Maintenance (DECM) and with outside design and construction entities to provide services to the department in the form of plan development, specification writing, estimating, building envelope and roof evaluations, field investigations, project management, and planning, scoping, budgeting, and evaluation of other systems for new and existing facilities. Working knowledge of principles and practices of architecture building system planning, design, AND/OR construction. Thorough knowledge of materials, construction techniques, codes and standards, soils, project management, and of the laws and ordinances pertaining to the design, construction and renovation of buildings and other facilities.
