A junior designer is expected to be continuously striving to improve his/her understanding of industry products and processes, as well as internal processes. Above all, a junior designer must demonstrate a willingness to take the initiative and continuously find opportunities to learn. Space plan and provide wholistic design solutions to customers, focused on furniture solutions.Accurately specify and price design solutions.Continuously improve skills in areas not limited to product knowledge, software, trends, processes, etc.Learn and adhere to ID+A internal processes to ensure projects flow smoothly and ensure customer satisfaction.Use problem-solving skills to improve relationships with internal and external customers.Essential Duties: Work directly with Furniture Design Lead and/or Senior Designers to gain real-time experience.Provide constant feedback to Furniture Design Lead that may improve processes, training, mentorship, etc.Communicate effectively with Account Executives to accomplish customer goals.Present to and meet with clients with or without Account Executive to move design projects through design process.Produce deliverables for each stage of design, not limited to proposals, revisions, sign-off documents, and installation drawings.Continuously improve in ICE, CAP, and DIRTT processes.Field measure and site verification for accuracy.Participate in-person and/or virtual training and learning opportunities.Learn basics of Interior Design process and deliverables, Interior Construction process and deliverables, and DIRTT process and deliverables.
