Junior Interior Designer

Nataliya Borener Interiors is a residential interior design firm focused on creating organic, modern, + timeless interiors that are uplifting + functional. We are in search of a part time Junior Designer to assist with current projects, and our hope is that this position will grow into a full- time position with the right fit. The ideal candidate would be someone who has worked in interiors previously (bonus points for experience in new construction home builds) that can jump right into a fast-paced work environment. GENERAL INFO –Part time: 20-30 hours a week with potential to grow into a full-time position –Compensation from $20/hr, depending on experience, and mileage reimbursement for travel –Remote work is possible, but must be able to drive into New Braunfels weekly to meet & work with the Principal Designer, and also into Austin weekly to run errands –Farther travel may be required on occasion for trade shows, sourcing, or project site visits QUALIFICATIONS + SKILLS NEEDED –Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design is preferred –1-2 years experience in an interior design firm is preferred –Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint) Google Drive/Doc/Sheets –Knowledge of SketchUp is preferred –Detail-oriented with a passion for procedures, organization, + efficiencyStrong written + oral communication skills –Self-motivated with strong work ethic; must be willing to do tasks large + small with a positive attitude –Self-managed; must be able to work independently + stay on top of deadlines with little supervision –Flexible, dependable, + service oriented –Ability to juggle many tasks + projects at once, as well as shift focus from one project to another –Must be able to lift at least 40lbs for installs + deliveries RESPONSIBILITIES –Assist principal designer with design + management of projects all phases of design –Keep detailed meeting notes, task lists, + calendars for multiple projects –Create furniture plans, detail drawings, 3D models, and renderings in SketchUp –Research new sources, vendors, design trends + update office resource library –Enter in project data, specifications + keep back end office files digitally organized –Assist with preparation of client presentations + proposals –Place orders, track open orders, + schedule deliveries –Communicate with clients, vendors, + builders/contractors –Assist with installations + deliveries –Update marketing materials, website, newsletters, + blog –Run general office errands as requested Check us out online: www.nataliyaborenerinteriors.com Submit your resume + a short note why you’d think you’d be a good fit.
