Junior Interior Designer

This role is responsible for supporting the Principal and Studio Director from concept to completion on multiple design projects. The Designer/Assistant will help with project coordination, presentations, sourcing, and will interface directly with vendors on a regular basis. They are an incredibly flexible team player who enjoys the fast-paced rhythm of a growing business. While some work may be conducted remotely, candidates must be in the Houston area with the ability to work in the Houston office as needed and to conduct visits to client sites. JOB REQUIREMENTS Tasks include, but are not limited to: \\- Assisting the principal on a wide array of tasks for all design projects \\- Sourcing furniture, fixtures, and finish samples \\- Interfacing with vendors to request quotes and track order details/status \\- Creating proposals for clients' approval \\- Drawing floorplans and creating client presentations under the direction of Principal \\- Visiting client sites to measure, receive deliveries, and oversee installations under the guidance of the Principal \\- Tracking client purchases and reimbursable expenses to assist with invoice preparation \\- Assisting with photo shoots Candidate ideally would have: \\- Proficiency in AutoCAD or Google SketchUp, Google Suite, Microsoft Suite \\- Great verbal and written communication skills \\- The ability to work independently \\- Strong organization skills \\- Effective problem solving and follow up Pay commensurate with experience.
