Junior Interior Designer - Full Time

Position Purpose: The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of design experience on high- end residential projects where s/he was involved in all phases of the interior design process. The ideal candidate will be involved in all phases of our design process including but not limited to: mood board generation, site surveys, CAD drawings, site surveys, sourcing and selections of all FF&E;, project management, communication with vendors, contractors and clients, on site styling, overseeing installations. Manage day to day schedules with contractors, subcontractors, vendors and purchasing agents Engage with clients, vendors, and sub-contractors to communicate timelines and provide updates Work with trades for quote production Propose and source FF&E; and create FF&E; schedules Qualifications & Experience required for the position: Degree & Experience: 3-5 years of work experience in residential interior design or related industry BA or AAS Degree in Interior Design, or Architecture or equivalent Technical skills High level drafting proficiency in using AutoCAD is a MUST Fluency in Photoshop and Excel is a requirement Proficiency of 3D computer modeling skills (Sketchup, 3D Max, Rhino etc.) is a major plus Proficiency in Canva and Quickbooks is a plus but not mandatory Design skills Knowledge of NYC resources and industry vendors including but not limited to: furniture, fabrics, wallcoverings, showrooms, product lines and makers Extensive knowledge of FF&E; selection (materials, finishes, detailing, and scheduling) Proven industry experience in residential projects Experience with custom furniture design and reviewing construction/millwork drawings are both a major plus Personal skills Excellent attention to detail and follow-up, organization skills are all MUSTs Outstanding verbal and written communication skills and problem-solving abilities Must be a self-starter and possess an excellent time management skills who is able to take initiative and is solution-oriented Must be professional, friendly, and polished Ability to travel for project site visits Sense of humor!
