Requirements... • Interior Design degree • 3-5 years' experience in the Interior Design Industry • Ability to manage and prioritize project tasks and deadlines • Project management skills and solution-driven • Resourceful, creative, strategic • Self-motivated to set goals and take initiative to accomplish • Prioritization and multi-tasking ability • High attention to detail and numbers/data entry • Diligent working skills and excellent follow-through • Small business mentality and team-orientation • Desire to contribute and be a part of the business growth and long-term plans Tasks & Responsibilities • Assist lead designers on client projects as assigned • Design ideation; Assistance with space planning, furniture layouts, & selections (materials, finishes, plumbing, appliances, furniture, accessories, lighting) relative to individual project needs • Assist in managing and developing design projects from concept to completion • Travel to project sites for hands-on execution and management, assisting with client meetings • Frequent trips to IMS, tile vendors, lighting showrooms and other errands for client projects • Translate and anticipate client needs & lifestyle into distinctive, successful design and sales • Assist with AutoCAD drafting, including production of detailed elevations, ceiling and lighting plans and power plans • Assist the Lead/Senior Designer with compiling architectural finish selections on a project-by-project basis • Develop print documents (presentations in InDesign, etc.) and assembly of material boards for client presentations • Communicate and collaborate with contractors, builders; manage subcontractors and installers • Assist with library management; organize product samples, return samples and order new samples as needed, coordinate with sales reps to see new product and pick-up samples, update sales rep database, remove discontinued samples • Measure and document new project spaces • Compile pricing for lighting, furniture, carpet, wallpaper, drapery and accessories in Studio Designer • Maintain client files (binders and computer folders) including correspondence, meeting notes, drawings, proposed products, specified products, and bid documents • Administrative duties including: answering phones, taking messages, taking meeting notes, typing meeting notes • Ability and willingness to take part in daily activities required of small business management • Track and log billable hours as associated with individual projects • Assist with company events, marketing ideas and strategies • Assist with virtual meetings/presentations when needed for clients out of state Technical Skills • AutoCAD (Revit knowledge is a plus) - assist with elevations/details, ceiling and lighting plans and power plans • Assist with compiling/writing specification documents • Adobe InDesign • Studio Designer (preferred but not required, will be trained once hired) • Outlook, Microsoft Office Suite
