Company DescriptionThis Blue Home (TBH) Interior Design is a Tennessee-based firm dedicated to crafting extraordinary spaces using a tailored, client-centric approach. We are a rapidly expanding interior design start-up with a robust portfolio of residential and new construction design projects.Role DescriptionThis is a contract role for a Junior Interior Designer located in Nolensville, TN, with flexibility for some remote work. The Junior Interior Designer will be responsible for collaborating with clients, creating design concepts, selecting color schemes, furniture, and materials, and overseeing the implementation of the design vision.Responsibilities include space planning, design of interior schemes by AutoCad/SketchUp, develop client presentations, product research, develop FF&E packages, prepare new construction documentation (interior elevations, millwork details, interior finishes, plumbing, appliance, hardware, accessories schedules), and develop finish and material selections/mood boards.ResponsibilitiesCreate detailed drawings, sketches, and renderings for projects as per the Lead Designer's goalsAutoCAD/Sketchup drawing production and editing work inclusive of 3D interior elevations, space plans, furniture plans and finish plansCorrespond and meet with vendors and manufacturers to source and learn about products; review vendors plans and quotes for accuracy and aid in revisionsResearch and select furniture, fabrics, lighting, and other materials for design projectsPresent moodboards and design concepts to clients and make changes as requestedCommunicate with clients and vendors to ensure projects are completed according to schedulePlace orders, ship and track to ensure install deadlines are metInspect construction and design spaces to ensure that alignment with design specifications are metStrong understanding of Social Media, particularly Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, YoutubeMust be able to work from Nolensville, TN office at least 2 days per week (or more if required).QualificationsProficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative SuiteStrong Microsoft Office Skills: Excel, Word and PowerPoint;Highly creative, imaginative and artisticProven ability to project manage and work in a fast paced environmentDetail oriented with accurate data entry skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with clients and team membersAbility to work on multiple projects with attention to detail and deadlinesUnderstanding of design trends, styles, and materialsKnowledge of color, textiles, lighting, and space planningBachelor's Degree in Interior Design or related field
