Junior Interior Designer

The Junior Interior Designer is responsible for supporting the principal in all phases of design work. This job includes but is not limited to the following: note taking during client meetings, creating and updating AutoCAD plan sets, developing design presentations, putting together product proposals, invoicing and purchasing, collaborating with outside vendors and trades, maintaining the sample library, as well as supporting with furniture, fixture and equipment selections. JOB REQUIREMENTS Design presentations Design Documents 3D Models Mood boards FF&E; Selections & Schedules Recording meeting minutes Quoting and Proposals Purchasing Invoicing Deliveries and installation tracking and followup Able to haul heavy samples and small furniture during presentations or installations SKILLS Architecture or Interior Design degree or similar work experience Minimum 2 years experience in the architecture, design or construction industry Proficiency in AutoCAD, Photoshop, InDesign, Google Docs Sketchup or other 3D rendering capabilities Strong organizational abilities Knowledge of design requirements, construction methods and materials for residential remodels Knowledge of furniture, lighting, finishes, materials and color selections Collaborative, self motivated, positive, adaptable and flexible with strong written and verbal communication skills Extremely detail oriented Excellent customer service skills and comfortable interfacing with clients, consultants, vendors and trades people Ivy project management software knowledge a plus TO APPLY, SUBMIT the following in PDF format to hello@figstdesign Resume Statement of Interest Design Samples
