Role Description:
Jett Thompson Interiors is looking for a Junior Designer to join our design team.
This is a foundational role for someone early in their design career who wants hands-on mentorship, real project exposure and the chance to build technical skill inside a full-service luxury design firm.
You'll work closely with our Principal and Senior Designers across every phase of a project, from concept to installation, learning the firm's process from the ground up.
Responsibilities:
Support design development through research, material sourcing and concept boards
Assist in producing renderings and presentation materials
Maintain and organize project files, sample libraries and specification documents
Manage vendor outreach and sample requests
Assist with site visits, field measurements and punch lists
Support furniture installations and photoshoots
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field, and 2+ years of experience with a luxury residential design firm.
Strong foundational skills in Interior Design and FF&E selection, including furnishings, fixtures and equipment.
Ability to contribute to Space Planning and basic Architecture-related design coordination.
Experience or training in preparing and reading Construction Drawings and related documentation.
Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp or similar) and project management software (e.g., Design Manager, Designer Link).
Strong visual, organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in a studio environment and on job sites.
Familiarity with high-end residential design or luxury projects is a plus; willingness to learn and take direction is essential.
Pay: $48,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
