Kitchen Design / Estimating

Do you love figuring out how things fit together? Do you enjoy taking a beautiful cabinetry design and working through every detail to make sure it can actually be built?

At Legacy Cabinetry & Design, technical precision is just as important as creative design. We're looking for someone who takes pride in solving the challenges behind custom cabinetry, developing accurate drawings, and making sure the details are right before a project moves forward.

If you enjoy combining technical design, construction knowledge, and problem-solving to help bring distinctive cabinetry projects to life, this could be a great fit.

What Success Looks Like

Success in this role means producing accurate, workable cabinetry drawings and reliable estimates that keep projects moving forward.

You'll be responsible for completing your work by agreed deadlines, identifying missing information before it creates problems, and helping ensure the details are correct before projects move forward.

We're looking for someone who takes ownership of their work, communicates clearly with the team, and consistently delivers high-quality results.

What You’ll Do

·        Create detailed cabinetry drawings and 3D models using cabinetry design software.

·        Work with our designers to translate layouts and design concepts into accurate, buildable cabinetry details.

·        Prepare project estimates, checking quantities, specifications, and pricing.

·        Revise drawings and estimates as project requirements and selections change.

·        Visit project sites to verify field measurements.

·        Identify technical discrepancies, missing information, and potential problems before they affect the project.

·        Communicate with designers and team members to keep projects moving toward agreed deadlines.

·        Help improve our technical drawing and estimating processes.

You’re Likely a Great Fit If

·        You have experience in cabinetry design, CAD drafting, estimating, or a similar technical role.

·        You understand custom cabinetry construction, materials, measurements, and installation considerations.

·        You're familiar with cabinetry design software such as Mozaik or Cabinet Vision, or you're confident in your ability to learn new systems.

·        You enjoy detailed technical work and are comfortable working with numbers and pricing.

·        You take pride in accuracy and have high standards for the quality of your work.

·        You're organized, dependable, and take responsibility for meeting deadlines.

·        You enjoy solving problems, asking questions, and collaborating with a team.

·        You welcome feedback and continuously look for ways to improve.
