Lead Designer

Lead Designers serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, as well as for the builders, architects, and suppliers involved in each project. Lead Designers work closely with the Design Director, Design Assistant, and Director of Operations to fulfill their duties and ensure project success. Qualifications And Requirements • Professional Degree in Interior Design • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in interior design. High-end residential design experience strongly preferred • Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, Studio Designer, and Microsoft Office Suite • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Strong collaborator with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams and departments • Highly responsible, organized, and self-motivated with exceptional time management skills • In-depth knowledge of the full design process, from concept development through project closeout • Proven project management experience, including the creation of schedules and coordination with builders to meet deadlines • Well-versed in sourcing medium-high end fabrics, furnishings, and materials • Strong aesthetic sensibility, creativity, and a consistently positive attitude • A minimum of 30 billable hours per week on average annually At MDI, we are committed to delivering high-end interior design through well-defined processes and an exceptional client experience.
