Requirements of Lead Designer: Design education (BA or AA in Interior Design)6 years interior design experience in lieu of design educationCombination of education and experience equal to 6 yearsPrior retail/sales experience preferredKnowledge of hard surface flooring is a plusProficient in basic mathematical skillsMust be self-motivated and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skillsBasic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office suiteInternal candidates must have 24 months of experience in a Floor & Decor Designer positionResponsibilities of Lead Designer: Demonstrated skill in establishing and nurturing enduring connections with both residential and commercial clients within the fieldWelcome shoppers in a supportive manner and assist with browsing store layout requirementsArrange design consultations for current and prospective clients, while expanding customer base through networking, referrals, and in-store generated leadsOffering guidance on tiles, wood, stone, and accompanying elements for residential and commercial projects, catering to homeowners, interior designers, and builders alike.Create and offer comprehensive, practical, and visually attractive productsEffectively handle numerous customer projects simultaneously by navigating all stages with precision, timeliness, and thorough follow-up, maintaining regular and clear communication with clients and other stakeholders.
