Responsibilities: • Partner with Workplace Consultants and Consulting Teams on new client engagements • Develop creative and innovative design solutions to solve for client needs, aesthetics and budgets that demonstrate the potential of a space while maintaining compliance with all local codes, accessibility, environmental, and sustainability guidelines • Develop space plans, furniture plans, design decks, renderings, installation drawings, and material and finish selections • Translate research and insights into holistic applications, written deliverables and formal presentations • Conduct site surveys and inventory verifications as needed • Owns high profile and complex projects from inception to design completion • Lead client presentations and design studio tours • Successfully partner with A+D firms and influencers • Develop and utilize design standards and templates • Ability to recognize and seek value engineering solutions as needed. • Fully understand all stages of design projects, from concept to installation, and coordinates with internal team to complete projects efficiently and on time • Delegate successfully to teammates, outsource and contract resources • Mentor junior designers and interns • Develops and/or organizes trainings for team • Oversight of outsourced resources • Participate in recruitment of new team members and conduct professional interviews for potential candidates • Build and maintain relationships with key partners internally and externally • Participates in Hyphn leadership initiatives • Strategic thought partner for Design Manager to develop the team and tools for future growth • Proxy for Design Manager as and when needed • Special projects and stretch assignments as assigned Hyphn continues to aspire to create an inclusive environment for all employees to thrive because we believe it is not only the right thing to do, but that it also makes our work better and our relationships stronger.
