In collaboration with the Interior Designer and University Architects identify, plan, budget, and design interior projects on campus as assigned. Provide recommendations to University Architects regarding the selection and procurement of furniture, fixtures, and equipment ( FFE ) for capital projects and in-house projects as well as oversee the installation of those items; track FFE orders and delivery schedules. Prepare drawings and specifications using CAD and furniture design computer software; prepare furniture layouts for classrooms, laboratories and other common area spaces on campus; work with the Space Office and Central Stores on furniture moves. Develop and document campus standards for interior products and related installation processes for use by Facilities Planning architects and designers. Maintain professional communication with campus clients to gather project information; assist with interior design options and solutions; provide information for accessibility requests.
