Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: + Assist the client agency or design professional in the preparation and development of the project program which serves as the descriptive document establishing project scope. + Review and maintain project budgets to ensure the project is developed within available funding. + Provide consultant services in their area of expertise and disciplines to the department and other state agencies + Analyze and review the architect/engineers recommendation for award of bid for construction contracts. + When necessary, due to variations in the geographic distribution of project appropriations, this incumbent may be required to assist in project development areas other than the area of assignment to accomplish an equitable workload distribution.. + As needed, project manager may be responsible for a major portion of projects in the Capitol Center Complex, most being complex, high profile projects utilizing the Construction Management Approach.
