Paid Interior Design Intern

We are a group of designers passionate about interior spaces and gorgeous furnishings looking to add a bright, talented intern to our team. We are open to part or full time. The Design Intern supports the design team in many ways as they learn the trade. Responsibilities include » Participate in the selection and presentation of furniture, furniture systems, fabrics, equipment (FF&E;), color palettes, and lighting under the supervision of more experienced staff » Assist with procuring/purchasing FF&E; for all projects under the supervision of project leads » Assist with expediting » Assist with installations » Assist with internal meeting prep with clients: pin ups, layout all materials and finish samples, pin up tear sheets » Organize all files, materials post meetings » Manage client material boxes » Perform interior design assignments that include programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, space planning and construction documentation under the supervision of more experienced staff Job Requirements » Experience in the interior design industry » Knowledge of vendors, artisan and the to-the-trade purchasing environment and procedures » Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment » Excellent attention to detail » Ability to self- check work » Great telephone and email communications skills » Computer literacy We look forward to reviewing your resume, cover letter and portfolio - and to meeting you!
