The Senior Designer will also act as a Project Manager and be responsible for maintaining cohesiveness, consistency, and efficiency in a project.Responsibilities & DutiesSenior Designer: Develop and design projects through completion with minimal review and supervision Conceptualize and create design ideas through 3D visualization, mood boards and hand-sketching Develop space plans, project budget, schedule and programming documentation Selections and specifications of finish materials and furniture Create and manage time and materials budgets for projects Track time using Design Manager software Prepare design and construction documents to generate detailed design solutions Communicate with clients, contractors, and consultants Lead project meetings & client presentations Organize and prioritize projects and assist with organizing team members, tasks, and meetings Administer contract documents, bids & negotiations including construction administration Review shop drawings and submittals Mentor and manage junior and intermediate designersProject Management:Manage all project efforts, administrative and technical, to assure most efficient and cost-effective execution of assigned projects Serve as primary liaison with clients to bring projects to completion on schedule, within budget, and with maximum client satisfaction Actively manage client budgets, schedules, and programs; project communications, and documentation; and project team assignments Estimate fees; determine the scope of work, review proposals and contracts Monitor workload, time billing, and specific assignments of the project team Coordinate timelines and teammates for simultaneous projects, and to determine capacity for new projectsQualifications & Skills 10+ years of experience as a Designer in a Residential Firm NCIDQ certification preferred Proficiency in AutoCAD preferred Excellent oral, written, and graphic communication skills ASID membership or willingness to become a member Working knowledge of Sketch-Up, InDesign, Photoshop Helpful to have experience using Dropbox, Slack, Google Suite, and Zoom Desire and ability to work in a creative, service-oriented environment and prioritize while performing on multiple projects simultaneously Resiliency to cope with client demands & able to prioritize duties and work effectively Team-oriented but must be able to work independently with little supervisionAbility to work with team members and projects in other locationsWorking Conditions Full-Time position (40 hours per week)Must have a working vehicle to travel to project sites and between offices Must feel comfortable working interactively with teammates and industry partners Some travel will be requiredAbout Pillar & PeacockPillar & Peacock is an interior design firm dedicated to synthesizing beauty and function.
