PRODUCTION MANAGER for art fabricator

You are a Tetris master, adjusting the moving pieces on the fly, putting together the moving puzzle - all without breaking a sweat. Spend every day making art - each project is unique and every day is different! We are an art + design + fabrication studio that curates and creates art collections for commercial spaces. From framed art to large scale sculpture and everything in between, we design and fabricate artwork in our Oakland studio with a team of talented artists and fabricators. Duties & Responsibilities: • Create daily, weekly and monthly production schedules across departments for multiple concurrent projects • Work closely with multiple departments to track and ensure progress • Anticipate and identify bottlenecks and risks, then provide and implement solutions • Identify and deploy new tools and practices to improve workflow and increase productivity • Schedule outgoing and receive incoming shipments • Help the company grow by assisting in hiring and training new full time, part time and/or temporary employees, as well as independent contractors • Manage all production inventory, as well as special material or equipment needs Qualifications & Requirements: • 4+ years experience in a production environment • Advanced skills in scheduling and inventory management • General computer skills: Excel, Google Suite, Adobe Acrobat • Advanced computer skills: project management and scheduling/GANTT software • Strong organization and time management skills • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Eye for detail and product quality • Ability to anticipate team needs and stay a few steps ahead • Willing to jump in and help where needed • Able to work independently and in a team environment • Must have reliable transportation to get to and from work • Physically able to be on your feet and work within a shop environment Additional Information & Benefits: • Full time 40 hours/week • 2 weeks vacation, holidays, and full health insurance coverage • Compensation based on experience For consideration, please submit your resume with cover letter and include "PRODUCTION" in the subject line.
