Project Architect

Helios is looking for an architect to join our six-person firm to participate in all phases of the architectural process in a team-centered environment, to design and manage projects across our range of work. The Role: Manage schematic design and design development, teaming with the principal, interior designer, and architectural support staff Work with the principal to take on the following responsibilities: As job captain/project manager, craft project schedules and construction budgets, and track schedules and budgets throughout the project Work with the principal and other project managers to coordinate project staffing Work with the team and client to clarify the program requirements Manage the team to put together client presentations at all design phases Communicate with the client, making presentations when appropriate Participate in selecting and specifying materials and products Coordinate production of construction documents and participate in production Coordinate the work of structural engineer and other consultants Participate in contract administration, including site visits and coordination with contractors Review zoning and other regulations affecting the project Coordinate submissions to regulatory bodies, and present the project at regulatory review meetings Our Platforms: Revit, with Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, for production and presentation Basecamp, Ivy, and spreadsheets for project management and purchasing Qualifications: Architecture degree Minimum six years experience in architectural or design-build firm.
