PROJECT ARCHITECT

Duties and Responsibilities • Meet with clients to discuss to determine project scope and client requirements • Coordinate with the design team to ensure compliance with client objectives, project budget(s), city, state and federal codes • Produce detailed construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit • Manage project team including client and consultant team from conceptual design through construction to ensure project objectives are met • Prepare detailed technical drawings and coordinate with consultant team to produce a complete set of construction documents including written specifications for bidding and construction • Ensure all documents conform to applicable codes and standards including office standards • Review construction documents for quality control evaluation • Coordinate and run project meetings, record and distribute meeting minutes • Maintain project schedule and project budget. • May supervise Job Captain(s) and be assisted by Interior Designers. Qualifications • Strong interpersonal, team-building, leadership, negotiation and problem solving skills • Strong initiative and motivational skills to operate efficiently with minimal direct supervision • Strong written, verbal and graphic communication skills • Detail oriented with strong organizational and planning skills • Strong knowledge of building codes and in depth understanding of building systems • Ability to resolve unusually complex management and technical problems • Ability to manage multi-tasking priorities on an accelerated schedule • Proven ability to produce a complete set of construction documents including written specifications • Experience in design and construction of projects >$1M • Experience working directly with clients • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Office software Education and Experience Licensed Architect (prefer State of California) with minimum 8 years of experience in the architectural profession in the listed project types.
