Project-Based Associate Interior Designer (Independent Contractor)
Hourly Rate: $55–$65/hr | Remote & In-Person | Arizona-Based Preferred

We’re looking for a talented Associate or Junior Interior Designer to join our creative team on a project-by-project basis. This role is ideal for someone who has already gained hands-on experience with another design studio and is confident stepping into a fast-moving, detail-oriented workflow.

As an independent contractor, you’ll be brought in as new projects require design support—ranging from site measures and drawing support to flat lay prep and mood board development. We’re looking for someone who can jump in quickly, contribute to the vision, and execute with precision.

What You’ll Do:
• Support the design team across all phases of interior design projects (from concept to completion)
• Assist with drafting in AutoCAD and modeling in SketchUp
• Develop design presentations and visual content using Canva
• Participate in site visits for measurements, construction walk-throughs, and install days
• Help prepare for design meetings, flat lays, and sample reviews
• Manage assigned project tasks on time and with attention to detail
• Collaborate with senior designers to implement client feedback and design revisions

What We’re Looking For:
• 2+ years of job site experience with a professional design studio
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp
• Strong eye for layout and branding with working knowledge of Canva
• Solid understanding of interior design principles, materials, and finishes
• Excellent communication, organization, and follow-through
• Comfortable working independently and receiving direction remotely
• Arizona-based or willing to travel for occasional site work (preferred)
