Project Interior Designer

Corgan is actively recruiting a dynamic Project Interior Designer to join the firm as part of our Workplace Interiors team in our new Washington DC office. Qualified Project Interior Designers already exhibit these strengths and talents: • Degree from a CIDA accredited Interior Design program or equivalent • 7+ years of experience in commercial design; Workplace experience strongly preferred • Display strong design portfolio showing strengths in conceptual design, space planning skills, and detailing • Excellent Communication skills • Successful experience in business development preferred; interest in pursing business development opportunities required • Revit proficiency and technical excellence • Thorough understanding of how a drawing set is assembled and integrated • Acumen for how things are built and constructability, and the ability to apply that knowledge to support the project design and budget • General understanding of building and accessibility codes • Experience coordinating with a variety of consultants and contractors • Interest in sustainable design • Professional registration • Effective organizational and communication skills • Attention to detail • Flexible attitude • Ability to collaborate in a diverse project team environment • Demonstrated experience coordinating and leading projects teams • Ability to translate design concepts and information into images • Confident presentation ability • Ability to travel Our passion, drive for excellence, and abiding curiosity guide us each day in our interaction with our clients, partners, associates, and with each other.
