Project Manager, Interior Design (part-time)

Dimitra Anderson Home San Francisco, California

Dimitra Anderson Home Inc. is a Peninsula-based interior design studio seeking an experienced, highly organized Project Manager to support both the internal operations of the firm and the execution of client design projects. This is a two-pronged role: the Project Manager will be responsible for strengthening internal systems and processes while also serving as the day-to-day PM for active client projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and deliverables stay on track and within scope. The Project Manager will act as an internal operational partner to the Principal and Studio Director, helping professionalize and streamline how the studio operates. • Audit and improve workflows across design, procurement, operations, and finance • Create, document, and maintain SOPs for core studio processes • Streamline project handoffs, approvals, and internal communication • Establish standardized project timelines, budgets, task lists, and templates • Improve and optimize the use of project management, accounting, and documentation tools • Proactively identify inefficiencies, risks, and gaps; propose and implement solutions • Support leadership with operational planning, prioritization, and resourcing/capacity forecasting • Own project coordination across multiple residential design projects • Manage client onboarding end-to-end, including contract setup, scope confirmation, system setup, billable rates, documentation, reference materials, and site visit notes • Manage and enforce scopes of work (SOWs), ensuring deliverables, timelines, and responsibilities are clearly defined and adhered to • Identify scope creep early and support change-order or fee adjustment conversations with leadership • Manage digital product and accounting platforms: gather pricing, input items, and create proposals • Oversee the full procurement lifecycle, including ordering, purchase/work orders, documentation, tracking, and issue resolution • Coordinate vendors, installers, and workrooms; schedule and facilitate site visits and installations • Track project schedules, budgets, and deliverables; proactively flag risks and troubleshoot issues • Maintain accurate, well-organized client files and documentation • Log and distribute weekly internal status meeting notes, action items, and follow-ups • Attend occasional site visits to take photos, measurements, and notes; ensure follow-through on next steps • Support the design team with light sourcing or presentation coordination as needed (under direction of Principal and Senior Designers)
