Project Manager/Intern Architect, Minimum 8 years experience

We have been in business for over 20 years. Our small firm lends itself to working in teams with the need for all participants to have a broad range of skills and knowledge. We are looking for an individual with minimum 5 years of experience in architecture with the following attributes: MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES Manage construction documentation and architectural deliverables from Schematic Design through Construction Observation and Administration Communicate effectively and efficiently with all project partners, including consultants, pre-construction staff, field staff, municipalities, and clients Willingness to work on all aspects of projects, including technical and administrative Provide project team coordination for plans, specifications, materials and construction administration Participate in the construction administration of project assignments, including quality control Prepare and ensure accuracy of technical documents Work with consultants, contractors, fabricators, specification writers, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives QUALIFICATIONS: MUST be organized, multi-tasker with strong attention to detail Great communication skills Strong knowledge of ArchiCAD Ability to work in a self-directed course of action Effective time management and organizational skills High level of analytical skills and independent problem solving Flexibility to work within a small office environment and accept varying levels of responsibility on a project team Must be motivated to learn and grow Fluent in English Must have valid working permit to work in the U.S. or be a citizen Must have reliable transportation Local applicants ONLY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Adobe photoshop and illustrator Familiarity with CA Planning and Building codes Knowledge of sketch up a plus Knowledge of type V construction a plus Design skills, a plus Interior Design skills, a plus BENEFITS Medical, dental and vision insurance Medical and dependent care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) Paid major holidays PTO (personal time off) for vacation and sick leave Opportunity to work on all phases of a project based on your capabilities Support for licensure and other professional development activities Please submit a resume and brief description of your skills as they relate to the required qualifications via email in PDF format.
