Residential Interior Designer

We are seeking a Lead Interior Designer to join our team. The Lead Interior Designer is an integral part of our small but growing team and will work closely with the Principal Designer/Owner and the Operations staff. Additional Job Duties and Responsibilities: • Research new products and materials • Maintain and update project management software • Order and track project samples • Communicate timely and accurately with clients • Work with owner to identify priority projects and identify ways to streamline smaller projects and tasks • Research and follow industry trends, changes, and best practices • Assist in project photography, as needed • Assist in generating content for social media • Identify individual and team training opportunities, as needed • Adhere to company policies and guidelines and participate, as needed, in the creation of new Standard Operating Procedures • Represent the firm in a professional manner consistent with firm values and culture Requirements and Skills: • Degree in Interior Design, design school or equivalent experience • 3-5 years’ experience in Residential Interior Design • A strong background in designer fabrics and wallpaper is required • Proficiency in Chief Architect (or comparable - AutoCad, Revit, 3D Max, Sketch Up, or the equivalent) • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where priorities change frequently • Adept at problem solving, including the ability to identify an issue and create an action plan in a timely manner • Ability to effectively read/interpret new information, present numerical data, and skillfully gather/analyze information • Must possess strong oral and written communicator • Must be organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor own work for quality • Must be dependable, able to follow instructions, respond to management direction, and must be able to improve performance through management feedback Job Type: Full-time
