We are seeking a full-time, Residential Interior Designer with at least 10 years of experience designing and detailing the interiors of substantial residential properties. Experience in designing and detailing architectural interiors as well as interior finish specifications for new home construction, restorations, and renovations, including millwork and cabinetry,is critical. Use of CAD drafting software a must. (Knowledge of Archi CAD or Cabinet Vision software a plus).Strong experience in kitchen and bath design.Extensive skill in creating and maintaining relationships with vendors and craftspeople.Strong communication skills and ability to work as a team member on collaborative projects.Ability to travel to job sites throughout New England as required.Qualifications:Experience in space planning, interior architecture, and construction drawings.Experience working with and managing high-end residential clients.Proficiency in interior design principles and practices.Knowledge of FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) selection and implementation.Strong creative and problem-solving skills.Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.Ability to work collaboratively with clients, architects, and builders.Experience in cabinetry and millwork design and detailing.Experience in historic preservation is a plus.Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field is preferred.C&M offers a competitive salary and bonus structure, PTO, health and retirement benefit options, and continuing education opportunities.ABOUT CARPENTER & MACNEILLEEstablished in 1996, Carpenter & Mac Neille designs, restores and builds award-winning homes throughout the Greater Boston region, New England and beyond.
