Residential Interior Designer (Chief Architect Software Proficiency Required)

We are seeking a talented Residential Interior Designer with strong proficiency in Chief Architect software to join a growing residential remodeling team in Barberton, OH. This role focuses on designing kitchens, bathrooms, and whole-home renovation projects, creating functional, beautiful spaces tailored to each client's needs.

The ideal candidate has experience in residential interior design, excellent space-planning skills, and the ability to translate client ideas into detailed, construction-ready designs. You'll collaborate closely with homeowners, project managers, contractors, and suppliers to deliver high-quality remodeling projects from concept through completion.

Key Responsibilities

Design kitchens, bathrooms, and whole-home remodeling projects using Chief Architect softwareMeet with homeowners to understand their lifestyle, design preferences, and project goalsDevelop floor plans, 3D renderings, and design presentationsPrepare detailed construction drawings, specifications, and design documentationCollaborate with project managers, contractors, and vendors throughout each projectGuide clients through material, finish, fixture, and color selectionsRevise designs based on client feedback while maintaining project timelinesMaintain organized project documentation and ensure design accuracyBalance aesthetics, functionality, and constructability in every design

Requirements

Professional experience in residential interior design, remodeling, or renovationAdvanced proficiency with Chief Architect software is requiredStrong understanding of residential space planning and construction detailsExperience producing construction-ready drawings and design presentationsAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong communication and client relationship skillsExcellent attention to detail and creative problem-solving abilitiesExperience working directly with homeowners is highly preferred
