Residential Interior Design Assistant

Hiring a full-time, in-office Design Assistant/Project Manager to assist with high-end residential projects throughout the Southeast. Responsibilities include drafting furniture plans and elevations, preparing presentations, attending client and vendor meetings, maintaining budgets and schedules, as well as estimating and purchasing for projects. A high level of organization and attention to detail is essential for this role.

Candidates should have a strong knowledge of interior design and construction aspects and MUST BE PROFICIENT IN AutoCAD. A working knowledge of STUDIO DESIGNER software is preferred (but not mandatory). We are a fast-paced firm, so candidates must possess excellent time management skills and be organized and self-motivated. The candidate should have experience with custom furniture and textiles.

Job Responsibilities:

Oversee all aspects of design projects from inception to installation using Studio Designer software program
Maintain communication with principal, clients and workrooms
Draft furniture plans and elevations in AutoCAD
Correspond with vendors regarding pricing, product details, tracking etc.
Create client proposals and detailed vendor purchase orders
Build comprehensive finish schedules for paint, lighting, hardware etc.
Track and coordinate all deliveries, work with subcontractors during construction and oversee on-site project installations
Assist with daily office operations

Job Requirements:

Ability to read construction plans
Proficiency in AutoCAD
Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel and Word)
Works well with procedures and systems
