SALES AND DESIGN/DECOR - RESIDENTIAL WINDOW TREATMENTS AND LIGHTING

Add style and convenience to homes across Loudoun and Fairfax counties! We have an immediate full time position open for an experienced interior decorator or designer to join our rapidly-expanding residential furnishings services team. Reporting to the Senior Account Manager, the Designer will serve a growing market for residential lighting and window treatments. The successful Designer works directly with clients to develop project specifications and then collaborates with sales associates, project managers, and other team members across the organization throughout the sales process. The Designer plays an integral role in the Sales department through: • Utilizing software tools to produce project specification documentation • Interacting with clients in a sales capacity from initial contact through completion of complex, multi-disciplinary projects • Direct client communication in the office and on site to ensure that the installations are in compliance with design documents See complete description and application here: https://www.appone.com/MainInfoReq.asp?R_ID=3258160 RESPONSIBILITIES • Undertake residential interior design projects from concept to completion • Define project requirements and schedule • Interpret and translate customer needs into rough plans • Produce project proposals using proprietary software • Research and recommend products based on client needs • Continuously follow up to ensure work remains on schedule MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • Two years of residential furnishings decorating or design experience • Proven working experience in decorating interior spaces • Expertise in color, lighting, materials selection, furnishings, installations • Excellent attention to detail while handling multiple project requests in a fast-paced environment • Experience with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word and aptitude for learning new PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS • Degree in interior design or related discipline • Experience selling low voltage lighting and shades • Proficiency with design software such as Revit, Sketchup, and 3D Max • Proficiency in presentation tools like Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop COMPENSATION • Salary plus commission • Performance bonus potential • Health, medical, dental, and life insurance • 401k with company match • Paid time off and paid holidays • Education and training support • Employee rewards program
