Compensation: $20 per hour plus commission Employment type: full-time A leading Italian manufacturer of furniture and equipment for high-end beauty salons and spas is seeking a sales manager and showroom manager for its U.S. office in Industry City, Brooklyn (Sunset Park). The candidate should be professional, self-motivated, able to work autonomously, and willingness to learn and grow with the company. Background in book keeping, interior design and/or sales is a plus. Duties are: \\- Making appointments and guiding the clients through the showroom \\- Answering phone calls \\- General administrative functions, including but not limited to: data entry, faxing, filing, sorting mail and scanning of documents \\- Manage and handle customer purchase orders \\- Preparing and processing customer invoices \\- Updating company website information \\- Packing and shipping of showroom samples to customers upon request \\- Organize/Prepare samples for trade shows during the year \\- Some travel required for trade shows \\- Maintaining warehouse inventory \\- Preparing shipments domestic and international \\- Monthly invoices, transactions reports, sales reports, inventory reports \\- Working with our established nationwide distributors \\- Developing new distributor relationships Desired Qualifications: \\- Ability to work on multiple assignments simultaneously with attention to detail \\- Knowledge of Microsoft Office \\- Photoshop also a plus \\- Excellent communication (written and oral) skills \\- Pleasant and professional phone manner \\- Strong interpersonal skills to deal effectively with clients are required \\- Basic knowledge of web marketing a plus \\- Ability to lift at 40 pounds \\- Must supply your own laptop This job is full time 40 hours per week.
