We are pleased to announce a career opportunity at our location on the waterfront in Bellingham, Washington. Key Responsibilities • Prepare month-end journal entries and reconciliations • Reconcile bank accounts • Prepare monthly inventory costing schedules • Record customer deposits and assist with other accounts receivable related tasks • Assist with new vendor and new customer setup and maintenance • Assist with compliance filings (B&O; and L&I; filings) • Prepare payroll for salaried employees • Provide backup support for customer invoicing, accounts payable and hourly payroll • Provide backup support for visitors and phone calls • Update and maintain accounting policies and procedures • Assist the VP of Finance with accounting related projects and other duties, as assigned Required Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or other closely related business degree • Minimum two years’ experience in an accounting position with competency in accounts payable, customer invoicing and general ledger accounting • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Outlook, Word, and Excel, in particular) • Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team • Ability to accept new assignments and special projects.
