Senior Dam Safety Engineer

We are looking for a licensed Professional Engineer with a strong background in civil, structural, hydrological, and/or geotechnical engineering as it relates to dam safety evaluations and design. Responsibilities: • Perform dam safety related work, including FERC Part 12D inspections and Chief Dam Safety Engineer (CDSE) services • Oversee dam safety related hydrological, geotechnical, and structural evaluations of dams, embankments, dykes, and levees • Write all types of dam safety reports including FERC required DSSMRs, ODSPs, EAPs, and STI documents • Manage clients, projects, and deliverables. • Lead or support remedial designs for earthfill embankment dams, concrete dams, and various other water-impounding structures • Mentor junior staff on all aspects of dam safety • Marketing of professional services, proposal writing, cost estimating, and project scheduling • Assist in the selection and qualification of subcontractors (specifically for dam safety related activities) • Coordinate the development of construction and engineering cost estimates for dam safety projects We are a design and build firm providing clients with balanced perspective and realistic solutions. We have the resources and expertise to contribute to a project at the feasibility and planning stage, navigate the regulatory and permitting requirements, develop detailed designs, self-perform construction, and participate in startup, testing, and commissioning.
