Responsibilities: • Develop and design projects through completion with minimal review and supervision • Prepare and coordinate the design team if applicable... • Conceptualize and create design ideas through 3D visualization, mood boards and hand sketching • Develop space plans, project budget, schedule and programming documentation with team • Selections and specifications or finish materials and furniture • Create and manage time and materials budgets for projects • Track time using Design Manager software • Prepare design and construction documents to generate detailed design solutions • Communicate with clients, contractors, and consultants • Lead project meetings and client presentations • Organize and prioritize projects and assist with organizing team members, tasks and meetings • Administer contract documents, bids, and negotiations including construction administration • Review shop drawings and submittals • Mentoring and management of junior and intermediate designers • Knowledge of building codes and building systems • Reviews and prepares monthly billing for clients • Created estimates for clients (Designer to create PO’s and pay vendors) as needed. • 5 years minimum experience Additional Qualifications: • Residential interior design experience • Excellent oral, written and graphic communication skills • Run design project on time and on a budget • Strong knowledge of the design process including specification of materials, FF&E, and project management • Proficiency in Auto CAD, Excel, PowerPoint, Asana, and Microsoft Office • Desire and ability to work in a creative, service-oriented environment and prioritize while performing on multiple projects simultaneously • Resilient to coping with client demands & able to prioritize duties and work effectively • Team-oriented • Must be able to work independently with little supervision Education: • Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design • NCIDQ preferred, but not required • The description reflects the core activities of the role but is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of responsibilities and activities for the position.
