For consideration for candidacy for this position, please submit a portfolio of past work. • Sourcing material and lighting reselections in the case of owner request, discontinued products, or VE need • Working with ownership and contractors for feasibility of furniture installation dates DESIGN MANAGEMENT • Playing integral role in project needs primarily in programming phase through design development as well as procurement phases • Identifying and developing special treatments, art features, focal lighting elements, etc. • Participating in material selections and overseeing the documentation of selections • Overseeing creation of client presentations • Managing junior staff and monitoring allotted project hours Professional experience required: • Career in interior design profession for 6+ years (preferred) and working in a senior position for 2+ years (preferred) • Comfortable with all phases of the procurement process and experience with furniture specification • Familiarity with commercial grade material vendors • Familiarity with Multifamily Residential (preferred), Commercial, or Hospitality design fields • Comfort working in a deadline driven environment • Capability to handle multitasking • Degree in Interior Architecture / Design or Architecture required • NCIDQ Certificate holder preferred Software experience required: • AutoCAD proficiency (5 years minimum) • REVIT / BIM proficiency (3 to 4 years preferred) • Studio Designer or similar procurement software • Microsoft Office Suite • InDesign • Adobe Acrobat • SketchUp Work environment flexible: • Ability to work from home office and to travel to company headquarters in Chevy Chase, MD for meetings, training, etc. • 60 days trial period working 32 hours per week – Monday through Thursday. 40 hours to commence after trial period in early 2022.
