Senior Interior Designer

StruckSured Interiors is a fast growing, bespoke design firm located in beautiful Hood River, Oregon. We serve both commercial and residential clients throughout the Columbia River Gorge and Portland areas. We are looking for an artful Interior Designer to undertake a variety of projects. Responsibilities Design Project Management • Responsible for the development and realization of project, start to finish • Produce as needed conceptual sketches, sources, vendor options, materials, colors, floor plans & conceptual options for projects based on direction from Design Director (DD) • Take the lead on quoting & implementation of concepts from DD • Prepare and give comprehensive design presentation to DD for approvals and direction on assigned projects • Review in collaboration with DD all documents to ensure they meet design intent, client’s needs and visions, and StruckSured’s standards • Design Presentations and present to clients Design Specifications & Documentation • Prepares and/or ensures the accuracy of construction documents, coordination with drawing sets with outside consultants/architectural firms and ability to manage quality control • Create and detail specifications as needed to ensure accurate product and service on assigned projects • Prepare and put together cabinetry quotes and submittals Team Management • Lead team in conceiving of project concept and design to meet client program, local code, and project budget constraints • May manage other Designers Innovative Mindset • Pursues individual professional/skill development • Researches/stays current on current & emerging design trends Skills, Education, & Requirements • Must have a thorough understanding of how a drawing set goes together • Fluent in AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Revit • Ability to work with minimal direction in a fast-paced environment • High degree of accountability, sense of urgency and ownership • Results oriented and solution focused • Ability to collaborate with staff, clients, consultants, vendors and contractors • Strong knowledge of building and accessibility codes • Strong knowledge to design and know that the spaces and details are constructible • Bachelor’s degree or higher with a major in interior design, interior architecture or a related field • Interior design or similar certification highly preferred (e.g., LEED, ID+C, NCIDQ) • 5+ years design or similar experience Job Details ** Not a remote position** Job Type: Full-time Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year Benefits: • 401(k) • 401(k) matching • Dental insurance • Flexible schedule • Health insurance • Life insurance • Paid time off • Professional development assistance • Vision insurance • Bonus (conditional) Schedule: • Monday to Friday Ability to commute/relocate: • Hood River, OR 97031: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
