Senior Interior Designer

About the role Landed Interiors & Homes is seeking a Senior Designer to join our growing team. Duties and Responsibilities Independently and autonomously lead the process on multiple design projects simultaneously from conceptual design through construction including drafting, presentations, sourcing, and specifying to ensure deadlines and Client expectations are met, with limited oversight from the Principal You will partner with and manage one or two Junior Designers that will assist throughout the design process. Own and manage drafting from concept through installation Familiarity with historic and classic architectural detailing a plus but not required Design custom cabinetry and furniture and approve shop drawings Develop furnishing and materials schemes Familiarity with contemporary and antique furnishings and textiles, both online and at showrooms is a plus Assist in formulating and tracking budgets and schedules Manage and mentor the design team throughout the design process to ensure accuracy as well as professional growth from redlining to day-to-day feedback Designated main point-of-contact for all client relations from concept to install Other responsibilities may include: Assisting Principal in marketing and business development efforts Qualifications and Skills 6+ years of relevant interior design experience; with the majority of time spent on high- end residential interior architecture projects preferred but not required Degree or Certification in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Architecture, or related field Working knowledge of construction document sets and permit sets Strong knowledge of FF&E; sourcing (showrooms and other design resources), specifications, and ordering process Must be knowledgeable in AutoCAD and/or other similar software; Vectorworks a plus Experience with project management platforms such as Asana, Slack, and GSuite \- Docs/Sheets/Slides and industry-specific software such as IVY/Houzz Pro Proficient in MacOS preferred Working knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and/or 3D modeling a plus Ability to consistently meet deadlines Able to work effectively within a team environment; Strong leadership and relationship management skills Highly detail-oriented and accurate in all deliverables Excellent verbal, written, and visual graphics communication skills to communicate design ideas Location: Berkeley, CA Work/life balance: Autonomous working environment; Hybrid and flexible schedule Compensation: $95,000+ salary to commensurate with experience Benefits: Health benefits include Medical, Dental, and Vision
