Senior Interior Designer

We are looking for an experienced individual who demonstrates excellent design sensibility, strong technical skills and a collaborative attitude. REQUIREMENTS: • Minimum of 5 years experience in an Interior Design/Architectural firm • Degree in Interior Design or similar • Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and MAC applications • Expertise in drafting and sketching, including formulating creative furniture layouts • Experience in high-end kitchen and bath projects • Comprehensive knowledge of textiles, materials, and furnishings • Collaborative approach to design • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills • Passion for the creative process • Detail-oriented multi-tasker • Professional appearance and conduct • Ability to adjust to changing timelines, deadlines and schedules • Positive attitude and optimistic worldview RESPONSIBILITIES: • Undertake design project from concept to completion • Draft floor plans, furniture plans, elevations and other design drawings as needed • Preparation of specifications for projects, including furnishings, finishes, window coverings, • fixtures, and accessories • Work closely with Principal Designer, mentor and lead Design Assistants • Work closely with all team members during entire design process, keeping others up to date • on project status • Coordinate with vendors and provide pricing and stock information on all selections • Prepare documentation for all client projects, including project overviews, purchase orders, • requests for quotes • Participate in the development of custom furnishings and window coverings, including • specification of details and sourcing • Professional and courteous communication with clients via email and in person • Assist with social media campaigns and website additions • Travel to design markets Nifelle Design - Fine Interiors offers an incredibly supportive work environment based in our showroom in Southeast Portland near Mt.
