Senior Interior Designer

This is a temporary position (January-April) while one of our team members is on maternity leave. There is the possibility of contract work on an ongoing basis beyond April 2021. This position is full time or close to full time. Candidate should assume they may work from home but also will be expected to come into our design studio for meetings, sample/material reviews, as well as visits to jobsites, showrooms, vendor workshops, etc. RESPONSIBILITIES • Assist with design projects from conception to installation, including client meetings, space planning, furniture and finish selection, sourcing, and purchasing furniture, lighting, fabric, and accessories • Assist in development of design schemes, floor plans and presentation boards • Project management ~ you will be overseeing a design team and are responsible for delegating tasks accordingly • Create and maintain project budgets • Prepare proposals and correspond with clients on design intent and project progress • Maintain finish schedules, specifications, matrixes, and shop drawings • Manage installation timeline • Oversee issues with contractors, vendors, and clients until a solution is found QUALIFICATIONS • 4+ years of experience in interior design, including construction and renovation projects • Degree in Interior Design or related field • Highly proficient in AutoCAD, Sketchup, Studio Designer, Microsoft Office, DropBox, Asana • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously • Ability to prioritize based on workflow to meet deadlines • Attention to detail and follow-through, a must • Impeccable communication and organizational skills • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively • Must have car • Strong knowledge of local (and national) showrooms and vendors • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Pay commensurate with experience.
