In addition, this role carries an assumption of tenure in the design industry, as well as an extensive knowledge of design process across all phases for new construction and renovations. In this position, you will have a key leadership role in the following areas: design direction and implementation, technical coordination, project communication, schedule, and client management. • Create and Manage Project Tracker • Responsible for clear communication of work assignment expectations, keeping the project team on track, and meeting utilization targets using the Project Tracker • Collaborate with Studio Director and Project Manager(s) to ensure project needs are satisfied by effectively managing design staff and ensuring efficient utilization of resources • Assign tasks to designers and monitor day-to-day progress alongside Project Manager(s) • Effectively and pro-actively coach, mentor, and provide performance enhancing feedback to team members to develop the knowledge and skills of design team members • Oversee the design team progress on selection of interior finishes and furnishings and presentation development – ensuring all work in progress meets project goals for review with Studio Director and Project Manager(s) • Model a highly organized approach to the design process resulting in on time, on budget deliverables • Manage multiple priorities while consistently achieving high standards and goals • Creates project budgets in Spexx software program and Excel with minimal direction from Studio Director • Correspond and coordinate with consultants including lighting, operation, technical, and VE (Value engineering) process with minimal oversight. • Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture • 5+ years hospitality design experience • NCIDQ (desirable) Experience: • hospitality design: 5 years (Preferred)
