Located in Minnesota's Twin Cities metro area, this position allows you to leverage your creativity and expertise to deliver outstanding designs that reflect our clients' visions. Interior Designers at Ruby + Suede plan, design and coordinate the creation or renovation of the spaces we live and work in. As skilled Interior Designers we need to be able to produce an interior that is personalized to client’s taste and serves a functional purpose. Responsibilities: • Meeting with clients and other tradespeople such as architects or builders to discuss the needs of the client. Qualifications • Creative thinking in developing, designing and creating new applications and ideas • Knowledge of the practices and principles of interior design • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships • Knowledge of CAD or other Computer –aided design software • The ability to visualize concepts and explain them to others • Strong communication and negotiation skills • Good Organization skills, to ensure each project stays on schedule and is completed within the allowed budget • Knowledge of the preparation of proposals and specifications for interior design work • Have an associate degree or certificate in a 2–3-year program, or a bachelor’s degree in interior design / fine arts.
