Senior Interior Designer - residential

We are a passionate team of interior designers practicing our craft at the highest level, seeking to add a talented and experienced designer to our tight-knit, collaborative team. Responsibilities include: » Overseeing all phases of multiple design projects from design development, through construction management » Produce or supervise the production of schematic, floor plan, elevation, interior architectural details and furniture drawings using AutoCAD – familiarity with interior construction drawing and details is key » Coordinating & attending client meetings » Managing client communication, relationships, presentations & proposals » Supervise the team in processing and tracking of custom furniture and material orders » Coordinate with architects, contractors & subcontractors to define and maintain optimal project schedule » Researching & sourcing furniture, fabrics, accessories, finishes, lighting, plumbing, hardware etc. » Mentor other design staff and be a resource for the team » Leverage oneself beyond project-based focus to address greater office issues, including process improvement and quality assurance Qualifications: » Bachelors or Masters Degree in Interior Design, Architecture or Interior Architecture » 6-8 years interior design experience, including management. Preferred concentration in high-end residential » Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Photoshop, Google Suite, Ivy, Asana » Strong leadership, communication and relationship-management skills » Skilled in conceptual thinking, experiential design and storytelling in space » Expert Knowledge of FF&E;, color & materials, design showrooms and dealers both locally and internationally » Expert Knowledge of furniture systems and specifications » Knowledge and experience with Art, Antiques and Architectural/Historical Period » Hand-drafting a plus
