Senior Residential Design Manager

Help Build the Design Department of a Growing Luxury Remodeling Company You'll work directly with ownership and become a key part of building Luxe Construction's in-house design department. ResponsibilitiesDesign DevelopmentDevelop space plans and interior layoutsCreate cohesive luxury material and finish palettesDesign kitchens, bathrooms, built-ins, fireplaces, feature walls, and custom millworkSelect cabinetry, plumbing fixtures, decorative lighting, hardware, flooring, tile, paint, countertops, and finish materialsPresent design concepts and revisionsConstruction DocumentationProduce builder-ready drawing packages including: Floor plansInterior elevationsCabinet elevations and cabinet detailsTile layoutsReflected ceiling plans (RCPs)Lighting layoutsFinish schedulesMaterial schedulesPlumbing fixture schedulesHardware schedulesMillwork detailsConstruction revisions throughout the projectProject CoordinationCoordinate directly with architectsCoordinate with structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineersCoordinate with cabinet manufacturers, countertop fabricators, lighting vendors, and suppliersReview shop drawings and submittalsAttend project meetingsConduct site visits and field verificationAnswer design-related construction questionsResolve field conflicts while maintaining design intentDesign Department DevelopmentHelp establish Luxe Construction's design standardsBuild drawing templates and documentation standardsOrganize product libraries and vendor resourcesImprove internal design workflows and processesHelp build and grow our in-house design departmentQualificationsResidential remodeling experience requiredLuxury residential remodeling experience strongly preferredStrong understanding of residential construction methodsExperience producing complete construction documentationAbility to read architectural plansExcellent communication and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong attention to detailSelf-motivated with excellent problem-solving skillsPreferred Software ExperienceExperience with one or more of the following: Takes ownership of their workCommunicates exceptionally wellThinks like both a designer and a builderSolves problems proactivelyWorks well with architects, engineers, vendors, and field teamsEnjoys creating systems and improving processesWants to grow with a long-term company rather than freelance project-to-projectCompensation & Benefits$75,000–95,000 DOEPerformance bonus opportunitiesPaid holidaysPaid time offLong-term growth opportunitiesDirect collaboration with ownershipOpportunity to help build and lead Luxe Construction's in-house design departmentLocationThis is an in-office position based in the Phoenix metropolitan area with regular jobsite visits.
