The mission of the Soft Goods Salesperson is to support Coast Supply and the Home division by assisting clients in selecting and purchasing sofas (custom and stock), area rugs, upholstery, as well as grab and go decor items, and some basic interior decorating. The mission of the Soft Goods Salesperson would be to anticipate the needs of the buyer, help with providing feedback on store needs and what is selling, and answer phones and other administrative tasks as needed. The Soft Goods Salesperson will have the following primary responsibilities: Assist clients in the selection and purchasing of sofas, sectionals, custom couches, reupholstery, area rugs and smaller decor items as needed Ring up walk-in customers for purchases Keep showroom well organized and clean Display products per the pre-set plan-o-gram or design set by the buyer Set appointments and meet with clients to select fabrics and orientation of furniture and occasional in-home design appointments Set appointments for the window covering salesperson, and other sales associates as needed, as well as cover the entire store if salespeople are not present. This is a base plus commission position, so this position must be able to generate their own sales, make outbound calls to connect with designers and decorators as well as to farm and close leads. Experience: 2-5 years in a sales setting preferred, as well as design/decorating experience.
