Job Type Full-timeDescriptionBasic Function:Office Images - OE&S designers are an integral part of the holistic customer experience, from initialconsulting through design development, furniture specification, and installation. Designers workclosely with OI sales team members to assess customer needs and recommend solutions thatwill help them achieve their business goals. Designers play a direct role in both securing newproject opportunities and ensuring successful project execution while delivering positivecustomer experiences.Responsibilities:• Consult with client and project team members to identify project parameters.• Conduct site analysis and field verification including furniture inventory.• Participate in key project meetings from project conception to completion.• Make product and finish selections relative to the specific needs of the organization withinbudgetary considerations.• Develop furniture plans including technology, electrical and communication data for use withproject team members including the client, architects and designers, contractors and sub-contractors.• Follow all local, state and national building codes as they relate to the workplace space plan,furniture and finishes to ensure proper ergonomics and workplace safety.• Develop detailed furniture plans, renderings and finish schedules to ensure clearcommunication of all proposed furniture layouts, products and finishes.• Develop detailed specifications for furniture, finishes and accessories. Double check allspecifications for accuracy.• Review documentation of all client approved work for design, accuracy and completenessprior to order entry.• Create detailed installation documents for furniture and finishes for both internal and externalstakeholders.• Attend and participate in workplace, product and design software seminars and trainingsessions to help facilitate professional growth.• Work collaboratively with other colleagues to achieve goals related to project quality andprocess while maintaining client expectations.RequirementsDesired Skills and Qualifications:• Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design• 2+ years commercial furniture dealership experience• Proficiency in AutoCAD required, CET Designer experience is a plus• Knowledge of space planning and furniture layouts• Experience with Project Matrix/Project Spec or other similar specification tool• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite• Strong sense of initiative, determination, and accountability to meet deadlines• Enjoys working in a team environment• Strong organizational and communication skills• Detailed oriented• Familiar with industry trends
