Company: NicholeHollis Location: San Francisco, CA Position Type: NA Experience: See below Education: See below Summary: Oversee the implementation of high-end interior design solutions for each project from concept stage through installation. The Designer will be expected to present/communicate the Principal Designer’s concept objectives, manage a team of designers, and oversee all project related tasks, client meetings and contractor coordination. Key Responsibilities: Ability to interact effectively with the design team on multiple projectsFormulate preliminary space plans, render two- and three-dimensional design concept studies and... sketches that integrate the client's needs and are based on knowledge of the principles of interior design and theories of human nfirm that preliminary space plans and design concepts are safe, functional, aesthetically appropriate, and meet all public health, safety and welfare requirements Drafting, interpreting and modifying architectural designs and construction documentsPrepare construction documents, consisting of plans, elevations, details and specifications, to illustrate non-structural and/or non-seismic partition layouts; power and communications locations; reflected ceiling plans and lighting designs; materials and finishesAbility to field measure and document building conditions Preparation of construction documents to adhere to regional building and fire codes, municipal codes, and any other jurisdictional statutes, regulations and guidelines applicable to the interior space as well as ADA compliantSelect colors, materials and finishes to appropriately convey the design concept, functional, life-cycle performance, environmental, and safety requirementsExperience selecting and specifying cabinetry, stone scopes, appliances, plumbing fixtures, door and cabinetry hardware, materials, and interior finishesManage the interior design resource library and maintain vendor contacts for interior furnishings, fixtures and finishesPrepare specifications and schedules with accurate product information for all millwork, casework, appliances, plumbing, hardware and bath accessoriesCoordination and collaboration with other design professionals who may be retained to provide consulting services, including but not limited to architects, structural, mechanical and electrical engineers, and various specialty consultantsObservation and reporting on the implementation of projects while in progress and upon completion, as a representative of and on behalf of the client; and punch list itemsPrepare project cost, fee analysis and proposals, and oversee and review project billings with consideration of roles, responsibilities and add service requests as outlined in project contractEfficiently manage project designers, design assistants, and interns on project team; demonstrate strong managerial and communication skillsInterface with Principal and Design Directors on project design developmentMust have proficient knowledge of AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup and 3DsMax. Up to 40% telecommute option.
