The Sr. This role requires excellent space planning skills, knowledge of building codes, construction methods, and current material costs and specifications. Main Responsibilities: • Develop projects through all phases of design: concept, schematic, design development, construction documentation, and construction administration • Participate in all phases of design deliverables including conceptual, schematic design, design development, and construction documents • Oversee project schedule management, maintaining schedule established by Director of Design • Determine design objectives for the client's space, considering unique factors such as project type, architecture, environment, building codes, safety, and client desires • Work with architect on layout of rooms; use drawing and drafting as well as design and planning principles • Produce and manage construction drawing sets and high-quality presentation materials and packets, material specification boards, and digital 3D renderings • Present designs to clients and other consultants; coordinate with all other design disciplines such as civil, architectural, structural, landscape, and MEP • Develop full furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) packages and procurement management for assigned projects • Estimate material requirements and costs and present design to client for approval • Research, source, and produce interior selections and full specifications, including finish materials, hardware, lighting, appliances, and plumbing • Procure relevant materials including furniture, finishes, and accessories for various projects • Monitor and manage project budgets and ensure expenses remain under control; be proactive with regards to scope creep and mitigate potential budget issues • Select and subcontract fabrication, installation, and arrangement of carpeting, fixtures, accessories, window coverings, paint and wall coverings, artwork, furniture, and related items • Conduct construction-phase activities including shop drawing review, and respond to requests for information (RFI's) from general contractors • Lead by example and provide guidance to Junior Designers, Interior Design Associates, and Assistants; manage a Junior Designer on a per-project basis Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Architecture • 7+ years of demonstrated experience as an interior designer project manager of multiple projects within multi-family developments • High-level experience taking construction projects from concept through schematic design, design development, construction documentation, procurement, and construction administration • Experience with leading a Construction Documentation (CD) set from start to finish • Excellent interpersonal skills; able to regularly interact and collaborate with senior management, architects, and other external consultants with ease • Excellent communicator with strong written and verbal skills • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle with proof of insurance We are committed to fostering a diverse workforce, and maintaining a workplace that is equitable, inclusive, and safe for all team members.
