Slate is looking for an energetic, organized, experienced Senior Interior Designer to join our growing team for a 6-month contract assignment. The Senior Interior Designer will help to design and develop the broad and detailed appearance for the interior of our vehicles. They will assist the design team in creating and defining the visual appeal of Slate products. What you bring to the team: • Bachelor's degree in automotive or industrial Design, or comparable degree • 5 years professional work experience, as an automotive designer, Industrial designer, or similar transportation and vehicle related role • An excellent command of visual communication and evaluation along with a thorough knowledge of 2d illustration and 3d development tools is a must • Ability to write verbal descriptions of automotive design • Familiarity of rapid prototyping tools (i.e., Milling, 3d printing etc.) • Ability to generate 3D digital sketch models via Alias or Blender • Successfully contributing to the completion of a production program is a plus • Experience in automotive, or consumer products industries in the capacity of design or ergonomic related fields • Experience working within an agile development process • Proficient in various design disciplines.
